The recipient of BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE shall obtain a prior written consent on use of it from the DEPOSITOR.
The recipients shall cite the references of the resource and acknowledge the depositor as the source of the resource in the publications. Depending on the project of the recipients, a collaborative arrangement with the depositor could be required. In this case, the recipients shall discuss with the depositor.

Origin
The Cblb region, one of the causative gene in type 1 diabetes of KDP/Tky was transferred onto the genetic background of PVG.R23 strain.
Strain characteristics
Although type 1 diabates and insulitis are not observed in this strains, thyroiditis is often observed.
