Origin
This transgenic rat was established by microinjection of transgene consisting of Ddx54 gene (NM_001191548.1) driven by CMV promoter (pCMV-Tag2B) derived from cytomegalovirus into Wistar rat (SLC) pronuclear fertile eggs at UNITECH Co., Ltd. in 2007.

Mating in a standard manner. 2 lines (line 19 and 37) are maintained.
Genotyping
forward primerA 5’-GCGTTACATAACTTACGGTAAATGG-3 (pCMV-Tag2B), forward primerB 5’-ATGGCTGCCGGCAGACGTGTG-3' and reverse primerC 5’-ATCCTCTGCTTGGATCTCGAA-3' (Ddx54) Annealing temperature: 55℃ PCR product size is as follows; A-C: 800 bp, B-C: 150 bp Two bands (800 and 150 bp) are generated from the Tg rats, but only a single band (150 bp)is detected in the WT rats.
