Origin A congenic strain in which the Idao locus of LEA/Tohm rats was introduced into F344/NSlc rats.
Strain characteristics This strain is homozygous for the Idao locus, which contains a 54.1 kb deletion in the Dao gene.
Breeding Conditions Natural mating. Maintain by brother-sister mating.
