| Origin |
This strain was created at the Institute of Medical Science, University of Tokyo using the CRISPR-Cas9 method.
F344/Jcl rat fertilized eggs were microinjected and then transplanted into the oviducts of pseudopregnant females.
From the resulting offspring, rats with the Alb promoter-Cre sequence inserted into the Rosa26 gene were selected and established.
Although the Alb promoter is inserted, cre leakage is confirmed throughout the body. |
| Strain characteristics |
Cre is expressed throughout the body. |
| Breeding Conditions |
Maintained by crossing heterozygous rats with wild type rats. |
| Genotyping |
The genotype is determined by PCR and electrophoresis. |
