Gene Affected Albumin
Origin This strain was created at the Institute of Medical Science, University of Tokyo using the CRISPR-Cas9 method. F344/Jcl rat fertilized eggs were microinjected and then transplanted into the oviducts of pseudopregnant females. From the resulting offspring, rats with the Alb promoter-Cre sequence inserted into the Rosa26 gene were selected and established. Although the Alb promoter is inserted, cre leakage is confirmed throughout the body.
Strain characteristics Cre is expressed throughout the body.
Breeding Conditions Maintained by crossing heterozygous rats with wild type rats.
Genotyping The genotype is determined by PCR and electrophoresis.
