Gene Affected
Origin An opacitas female rat was found in a Crj:CD(SD)IGS rats purchased from Charles River Japan (Atsugi). After that, this mutant phenotype was maintained by sib-mating between opacitas and normal rats. (Nov 4, 2009)
Strain characteristics Opacitas. Autosomal dominant inheritance.
Breeding Conditions Maintained by sib mating between opacitas rats (heterozygoutes) and normal rats.
