Origin The LEXF/FXLE RI strain set has been established by Shisa et al at Saitama Cancer Center Research Institute since 1985. This RI set consists of 34 RI strains derived by reciprocal crossing of LE/Stm (NBRP No.139) and F344/Stm (NBRP No.140).
Strain characteristics The RI strains are useful genetic tool in gene mapping and analysis of complicated trait genetic diseases.
Breeding Conditions Good breeding performance. Sib mating.
