Gene Affected
Origin F344/Stm rats were derived from a pair of F344/DuCrj rats purchased from Charles River Japan, Inc. and thereafter maintained by brother-sister matings for >23 generations in Saitama Cancer Center Research Institute.
Strain characteristics A parental strain of LEXF/FXLE RI strains (NBRP No.0105-0138).
This strain has a loss-of-function misssense mutation (Gly633Arg) in DIPEPTIDYL PEPTIDASE IV(Dpp4)gene as F344/DuCrlCrlj strain. (July 7, 2016)
Breeding Conditions Good breeding performance. Sib mating.
