Gene Affected |
ABO: ABO blood group (transferase A, alpha 1-3-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase; transferase B, alpha 1-3-galactosyltransferase) |
Origin |
This strain was established at Jichi Medical School. |
Strain characteristics |
This transgenic strain expresses the transferase B of the ABO blood group (transferase A, alpha 1-3-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase ) driven by the CAG promoter. The majority of expression of the transgene is detected in the small intestinal mucosa. The transgene was found to have integrated into the Chr X. |
Breeding Conditions |
Good breeding performance. |
