DOB is a partial inbred strain which originated from wild rats captured at the Shitara field, Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences and School of Agricultural Sciences Nagoya University. Inbred Line was established in 2009. (Jun 18, 2010) |
| Strain characteristics |
A Japanese wild-derived rat strain. Comparing of the genetic profile of the DOB rats (F12) with those of the laboratory inbred strains using 357 SSLP markers showed quite high polymorphic rates, which varied more than 90%. DOB rat has potential to be the reference strain in genetic linkage analysis. (Jun 18, 2010) |
