Gene Affected |
Attractin-EGFP recombinant gene |
Origin |
The transgene consists of the bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) clone RNB1-116, which contains the attractin (Atrn) gene which is modified by in-frame insertion of the EGFP reporter gene upstream of the 29th exon and an in-frame insersion of the mRFP reporter gene between 24th exon and stop codon. As of Jun 2010, 6 congenic strains are being developed (line 3, 20, 21, 22, 41 and 104). (Nov 25, 2010) |
Strain characteristics |
Phenotype not completely analyzed yet. In this transgenic rat, it is expected that the membrane form of attractin is co-expressesed with EGFP (green fluorescent protein) as recombinant protein and the secreted form of attractin expresses mRFP1 (red fluorescent protein) recombinant protein. (Nov 25, 2010) |
Breeding Conditions |
Maintained by crossing of Tg hemizygous and F344/NSlc. (Nov 25, 2010) |
