MHC haplotype （RT1.B
MHC haplotype (RT1.B
) of PVG.R23 was transferred onto the genetic background of KDP/TKy strain (RT1.B
). This allele has been maintained in heterozygous condition. Backcrossing has started since 2003 and afterwards maintained by sib mating (N12F6). (Nov 25, 2010)
The rats homozygous for the RT1
develop diabetes frequently similar to that of KDP rats (RT1
heterozygous rats develops diabetes with low frequency. RT1
homozygous rats do not develop diabetes. Both RT1
rats exhibit thyroidititis. (Nov 25, 2010)
Maintained by crossing between heterozygotes of the
locus. (Nov 25, 2010)
