The thymoma susceptible locus of rat-1, <i>Tsr1</i> (on Chr 7) was transferred from BUF/Mna to ACI/NMs by repeated backcrossing. (Matsuyama, 2008)
Strain Characteristics
About 75% F1 rats which generated by crossing ACI.BUF-(<i>D7Wox16-D7Rat69</i>)/Mna rats with ACI/NMs rats develop tymoma at 2 years of age.
