Gene Affected
Origin WTC was established as a coisogenic strain (tm<+/+>) from TRM (F18) in 1988. A missense mutation (c. 1061 C>T, p. A354V) in the hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated 1 channel (Hcn1) gene (Ohno et al. 2015).
Strain characteristics Control coisogenic strain of TRM rat (NBRP No.0015).
Breeding Conditions Good breeding performance. Sib mating.
