 Gene オワンクラゲGFPの改変体、チャネルロドプシン2(ChR2)
Origin The transgenic rats were established by injection of transgene consisting of ChR2 and Venus fused transgene driven by the Thy-1.2 promoter into Wistar rat fertile eggs.

Strain Characteristics The transgenic rats were established by injection of transgene consisting of ChR2 and Venus fused transgene driven by the Thy-1.2 promoter into Wistar rat fertile eggs.

 Breeding Conditions Good breeding performance.

 Genotyping (1) PCR: detection of 720 bp band for Venus. Primers are Venus-F: 5’-atggtgagcaagggcgaggagctgt-3’ (25-mer), Venus-R: 5’-ttacttgtacagctcgtccatgccga-3’ (26-mer).

(2) fluorescence detection using fresh tail sample: Venus fluorescence can be detected in myelinated nerve fiber.
