 Gene Aspa: aspartoacylase
Origin Tremor Rat which was found in a colony of outbred Wistar/Kyo in 1980 was separated to Tanabe Seiyaku Co., Ltd. in 1982.
This strain is a substrain of TRM/Kyo and does not show tremor behavior.
Strain Characteristics vacuole formation. Segregating inbred strain. No tremor behavior.
Breeding Conditions Homozygous infertility. Maintained in heterozygous condition.
Genotyping Genomic deletion of Aspa gene is detected by PCR.
