 Gene
Origin A congenic strain with the genetic background of the BB/WorTky strain (RT1.Bu,Du) onto which the MHC locus of PVG.R23 strain (RT1.Ba,Da) has been transferred.
Strain Characteristics Animals carrying u/u alleles of the MHC locus show diabetes and animals carrying a/a alleles show thyroiditis.
Breeding Conditions Maintained by crossing heterozygotes u/a allele of the MHC locus.
 Genotyping PCR-RFLP
