 Gene Lepr: leptin receptor
Origin A inbred strain from Zucker-fatty rats which were introduced to Takeda Chemical Industries in 1980.
Strain Characteristics An autosomal recessive mutation fatty (fa) was caused of the missense mutation of the Lepr gene.
Breeding Conditions Maintained by crossing heterozygotes of the Lepr locus.
 Genotyping PCR-RFLP
