 Gene Rgn: regucalcin
Origin Rats were generated by pronuclear injection of the transgene with a cDNA construct encoding rat regucalcin, a regulatory protein of Ca2+ signaling (Yamaguchi, 2002). (Nov 2009)
Strain Characteristics This transgenic strain shows overexpression of regucalcin. Animal model for bone disease as represented by bone loss. The body weight of tg rats is significantly lowered. (Yamaguchi, 2002) (Nov 2009)
 Breeding Conditions Sib mating.
