Gene GFP: Green Fluorescent Protein, jellyfish
Origin Transgenic rat: CAG promoter, Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein gene, microinjection method
Strain Characteristics Fluorescence is detected from almost whole tissues; skin, brain, heart, lung, spleen, liver, kidney, testis, sperm, uterus, muscle.
Breeding Conditions This strain is maintained by natural mating of Tg rats showing fluorescence with F344Du/Crj.
Genotyping Tg rats are selected by checking green fluorescence.
