Gene
Origin LEC rats which had high X-ray susceptibility were backcrossed to F344. In every generation, highly X-ray susceptible rats were selectied with the radiation susceptibility assay. 2 strains (F344.LEC-xhs1/1Nrs (NBRP No.0293) and F344.LEC-xhs1/2Nrs (NBRP No.0294)) were established in N17.
