 Gene Sp6: trans-acting transcription factor 6
Origin The transgenic construct carrying rat Sp6 cording region was introduced to Slc:SD. Established at YS institute (PhoenixBio) in 2006 and introduced to the University of Tokushima. (Nov 5, 2009)
Strain Characteristics Three lines out of several founders were established based on their expression of the transgene of cheek teeth at 6 days of age: #5 probably includes only 1 copy (NBRP No.0520), #6 about 30 copies (NBRP No.0521) and #58 about 160 copies (NBRP No.0522). These tg rats appear very similar to non-tg SD rats. (Nov 5, 2009)
Breeding Conditions Maintained in hemizygous condition by crossing of transgenic rat and wild-type Slc:SD rat.
