 Origin Rat resistant to an ambient temperature of 42.5℃ were selected, inbred for more than 30 generations, and designated FOK (Furuyama, 1993). Wistar/MK, Jcl:Wistar, Wistar/MS, HOS:Wistar and Std:Wistar were used at first. (Mar 30, 2010) 
 Strain Characteristics FOK shows heat tolerance (Furuyama, 1993) and cold tolerance (Yahata, 1999). (Mar 30, 2010)
