Gene Zfml (Zfp638): zinc finger protein 638
Origin CAG promoter driven Zfml cDNA isolated from BN strain was injected into Crlj:WI (Wistar). Thereafter this congenic strain was established by backcrossing the transgenic rats to LEC rats for 10 generation. (Oct 30, 2009)
Strain Characteristics On the hypothesis that Zfml is the causative gene for radiation sensitivity of LEC rats, rescue analysis using transgenic rats was conducted. But the transgenic rats showed no change of the radiation sensitivity and it appeared that Zfml was not the causative gene. (Oct 30, 2009)
