振戦が15日齢で認められ、約6カ月齢になると後肢弛緩性不全麻痺を呈するようになる(Rehm, 1982)。病理組織学的に中枢神経系の空胞変性と低髄鞘形成が確認される(Rehm, 1982, Kondo, 1991)。ポジショナルクローニングによりZIラットの脳におけるAtrn mRNA量が著しく少ないこと、zi遺伝子はAtrn遺伝子のイントロン12のスプライスドナーサイト内の8塩基対欠失であることが判明した(Kuramoto, 2001)。(Jun 19, 2009) |
